The importance of inquiry and project-based learning (IBL & PBL)
There are many reasons that IBL and PBL are important to my unit plan. My essential question is "How does the sun affect our daily lives?". This question is one that is very easy to include IBL or PBL, because it investigates many things that require detailed research. The question is also one that is open to personal responses, allowing individuality. The unit questions are "How does the sun affect plants, animals, and people". These questions are also open-ended and allow an individual response.

One thing that I really liked in your unit plan is that you were able to incorporate Math and Language Arts into your lesson about the sun. That would be a challenge for me to design a lesson around those two subjects but you seem to have been able to really make it work!!
ReplyDeleteI loved this post because I was able to learn a lot about IQB and PBL. The topics that every educator needs to know and know how to apply them include them in every aspect of their teaching curriculum.
